The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is set to attend the inauguration of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian. As per the government administration, Prime Minister Kobakhidze has received an official invitation from the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in the event.

The inauguration is scheduled for today, July 30. The Prime Minister of Georgia traveled to Tehran alongside the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili.
Based on the information from the government administration, 70 foreign delegations will attend the ceremony, which will be held in the Iranian parliament (Majlis). Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be present, as well as a delegation from Russia, led by Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin.
Pezeshkian was elected president in early July after his predecessor, Ebrahim Raisi, was killed in a helicopter crash on May 19. Iran's Supreme Leader,Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, signed a decree approving Pezeshkian as president on Sunday, July 28.
Irakli Kobakhidze visited Tehran for the second time. On May 22, he attended Raisi's funeral alongside Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili. The leaders of the terrorist organizations Hezbollah, Hamas, and Taliban, as well as Russian Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and others, participated in the funeral procession.
