The shooting took place on Sunday, June 23, at the Psou border crossing point.
"A citizen born in 1985 sustained a fatal wound. A minor girl born in 2007 was taken to a medical facility with an arm wound. Two men were also hospitalized: one born in 1998 with a leg wound and one born in 1995 with an abdominal wound," the de facto Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
Based on available information, the identities of the persons suspected of committing the crime have been determined, and measures are being taken to arrest them.
On June 23, unknown persons also opened fire in Dagestan. Orthodox churches, synagogues, and a traffic police post in Makhachkala and Derbent were targeted in the terrorist attack. According to the latest information, at least 15 people were killed, including employees of law enforcement agencies and civilians. A three-day mourning period was announced in Dagestan.
