“Beginning in March, I intend to visit 10 regions within the next 100 days. I will be conducting ten off-site events, meeting with representatives of our party, regional organization leaders, our assets, and the local population to assess their needs firsthand,” stated Irakli Garibashvili.
He emphasized that the primary objective of these meetings is to prepare for the upcoming pre-election campaign:
“Our party needs to gear up for the elections. Our stated objective is to achieve maximum success in these elections. To accomplish this, it is imperative to mobilize our resources and assets fully, aiming for a resounding victory and a robust outcome in these elections. Our aim is to secure a constitutional majority in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.”
During today's briefing, Irakli Garibashvili launched a verbal attack on opposition parties, asserting that the majority of voters support the Georgian Dream.
“What alternatives do our voters have today? The alternative presented is once again torture, rape, terror, death, and war. This is what the National Movement advocates, and regrettably, all parties, including those disbanded and fragmented, are aligned with this party. Each is playing their own game, but there is no alternative game. There exists only one alternative - the government, which represents peace, stability, development, and prosperity, juxtaposed with despair. Have you forgotten what they were doing two years ago? Their objective was to open a second front, initiate Ukrainization, and dismantle the country. We will not permit this. We will not allow the traitors and enemies of this country to dismantle it a second time,” Garibashvili emphasized.
Irakli Garibashvili was elected as the chairman of Georgian Dream on February 2 during the party congress. Several days prior, he had announced his resignation from the position of Prime Minister. Irakli Garibashvili was succeeded by Irakli Kobakhidze, who had been serving as the chairman of Georgian Dream since 2021.
