In Tbilisi, on the Didube-Avchala section, two people were killed in a collision involving a Stadler double-decker passenger train. The deceased were employees of Georgian Railways who were performing scheduled work.

Due to the incident, the train traveling from Batumi to Tbilisi was stopped. According to Georgian Railways, there were no injured passengers.
"Detailed investigation of the incident is underway, and investigative procedures are being conducted at the scene. Afterwards, the Batumi-Tbilisi train will be transported to Tbilisi Central," announced Georgian Railways.
At the same time, Georgian Railways expresses deep sorrow over the incident and extends its condolences to the employees and families of the deceased.
