A 23-year-old woman was kidnapped in Kabali village, Lagodekhi municipality. The incident occurred yesterday, July 28, in the evening. Surveillance camera footage shows that the woman was forcibly abducted from the street by several people in a car.

Local reports to Georgian News indicate that the car was found abandoned in Telavi. The woman's whereabouts remain unknown.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that the police have launched an investigation under Article 143 of the Criminal Code, which addresses illegal deprivation of liberty and carries a penalty of 2 to 4 years in prison. If the act is committed by a pre-arranged group, the penalty increases to 4 to 10 years in prison.
Locals also stated that the young woman is a student at a university in Tbilisi.
