The Georgian Fencing Federation has submitted a letter of complaint to the President of the Referee Commission of the International Fencing Federation regarding the alleged harassment of fencer Sandro Bazadze at the Paris Olympics. The letter details all the circumstances surrounding the perceived injustice against Sandro Bazadze.

"A significant portion of the public believes that Sandro Bazadze may have been unfairly treated by the referees at the Paris Olympics. This sentiment is shared by both the Federation and anyone knowledgeable in fencing.
It should be noted that not only was the decisive point in question, but also the 5 points scored by Sandro against his opponent were counted.
Consequently, the Federation prepared and sent a letter of complaint to the President of the Referee Commission of the International Fencing Federation," stated the Fencing Federation.
Georgian fencer Sandro Bazadze has concluded his participation in the XXXIII Olympic Games hosted by Paris. In the round of 16, his opponent, Egyptian fencer Mohamed Amer, won the match with a score of 15:14 based on the referee's decision.
On July 27, four Georgian athletes competed at the Olympics. Three of them, - judoka Giorgi Sardalashvili, swimmer Ana Nizharadze, and fencer Sandro Bazadze - were suspended from the games. Shot putter Nino Salukvadze still has a chance to win a medal.
Georgia is competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics with 28 athletes.
