The United States may use the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to interfere in elections in Georgia. This claim is reported by the Russian state news agency TASS, based on information from the press office of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.

Based on information released today, the USA and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE have agreed on 'cooperation' regarding Georgia.
“According to information received from the Foreign Intelligence Service, the US State Department plans to use a new tool to interfere in Georgia's parliamentary elections on October 26, 2024, aiming to prevent the victory of the ruling party, Georgian Dream, which Washington disapproves of. The Americans have agreed to "cooperate" with the leadership of the OSCE's democratic institutions and the Office for Human Rights in relation to Georgia,” the press office stated.
According to Russian foreign intelligence, the plan involves the OSCE/ODIHR publishing an interim report 10-20 days before the vote, claiming that conditions for free and fair elections are not in place.
“Following the release of the initial election results, a conclusion will be presented stating that the election process did not comply with democratic standards,” said the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.
The service also claims that the USA is planning to organize mass protests in Georgia with the aim of using force to take over the government. This is the second such statement in the past month.
In late August, Russian foreign intelligence accused the US of preparing a color revolution in Georgia. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller called the allegations “categorically false.”
The Georgian government has also discussed “foreign interference” in the elections. According to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, 'external intervention will not be able to affect the election results.
