The State Security Service has summoned Lasha Rukhaia, a veteran of the Russian-Georgian war and a member of the Poti City Council from the National Movement, who also fought in Ukraine. Rukhaia is scheduled to be questioned before a magistrate judge at the Tbilisi City Court on August 25.

"Why is the case with Griff 'secret'? Because it's just the fairy tales they have created. Over the years, I was summoned to the State Security Service many times, even during Chikaidze's tenure [Minister of Internal Affairs from 2013-15 - ed.], when they claimed we were planning a 'Maidan.' That case is also collecting dust while Obi is eating.

Lasha Rukhaia fought in the ranks of the Georgian Legion in Ukraine and, according to him, has been in Georgia for a year. In addition to him, the State Security Service has summoned Gela Kakhabrishvili, Vazha Tsatsadze, Nadim Khmaladze, Lasha Chigladze, and Konstantine Jghamaia for questioning.
The State Security Service of Georgia announced today that they are investigating "the facts of the preparation of the murder of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary chairman of the Georgian Dream party, organized and financed by former high-ranking officials of the Georgian government and former law enforcement personnel in Ukraine." The case is initiated under the first parts of Articles 18-323 and 315 of the Criminal Code, which involve the preparation of a terrorist act and conspiracy to overthrow the state government.
Mamuka Mamulashvili, the commander of the Georgian Legion, stated that about 300 members of the formation, most of whom are currently in Ukraine, are wanted in Georgia. In an interview with The Insider, Mamulashvili responded to the summoning of Georgian citizens fighting on the side of Ukraine by the State Security Service and said he expected such a development after Russia included members of the "Georgian Legion" on its wanted list. "This was done to provide the Georgian authorities with a reason to arrest us. Russian and Georgian special services are working synchronously today," Mamuka Mamulashvili believes.
As the opposition states, the government is trying to scare people and maintain power with statements about a coup d'état.
